Gratitude

Gratitude has the power to change the way we see the world.

It doesn't erase pain, deny hardship, or pretend that life is always easy. Instead, gratitude gently shifts our attention. It reminds us that even in seasons of uncertainty, loss, or struggle, grace continues to find us. Sometimes it arrives in extraordinary moments. More often, it appears in the ordinary—a sunrise, a conversation, a shared meal, a deep breath, a child's laughter, or the quiet assurance that we are not alone.

For me, gratitude is more than an occasional feeling. It is a daily spiritual practice.

Each morning, before the distractions of the day begin, I spend time in prayer and reflection. As part of that time, I write down at least five things I am grateful for. Some days those things are profound. Other days they are wonderfully simple: a cup of coffee, my husband, the wagging tail of our dog, the beauty of creation, or the opportunity to walk alongside someone in ministry. The practice has taught me that gratitude isn't about waiting for life to become perfect. It's about training our hearts to notice the goodness that is already present.

Over time, this simple discipline has transformed the way I live. It has helped me become more attentive to God's presence, more resilient in difficult seasons, more compassionate toward others, and more aware that every day is filled with gifts waiting to be discovered.

This space is an invitation.

Here I'll share reflections, stories, photographs, and everyday moments that have stirred gratitude in my own life. My hope is that these posts encourage you to slow down, notice the beauty around you, and perhaps begin—or deepen—your own gratitude practice.

I'd also love to hear from you.

What are you grateful for today? What ordinary moments have become extraordinary when you paused to notice them? Feel free to share your reflections in the comments or connect with me. Your story may become the encouragement someone else needs.

May we become people who look for grace, celebrate goodness, and discover that grateful hearts are often the place where God speaks most clearly.

Love. Grace. Blessings.
